WHAT DO MOTHERS WANT MOST?

As a mom, I can tell one of the nicest things that mothers want is to be acknowledged for all they do. Moms work hard and love their families, managing a million caring responsibilities. Most of those responsibilities go unnoticed. The thing they want is for all of their love and hard work to be noticed and appreciated. Studies show that being acknowledged and recognizing others at work/or what they do does more to boost self-esteem and morale than even a raise, as an incentive. Feeling acknowledged, being recognized and valued is integral to retaining good energy. It makes people feel they matter. At times when I have had a little hectic day with my mini-me, I feel tired and in the evening I seem…

MANAGING HOUSEHOLD TASKS

A household consists of one or more people who live in the same dwelling and share meals. It may also consist of a single-family or another group of people. The number in the family doesn't matter i.e whether you have one child or more, sometimes it seems hard to manage household tasks. First, make a list of the household chores that need to be done and have your kids choose the age-appropriate chores they want to do. Start with two or three chores per day so you don't overwhelm them. The daily tasks include: Make beds, wipe down shower, clean round toilet bowl, sweeping, vacuuming, washing dishes, feeding pets, doing laundry, preparing meals, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting. These is not much if done with a plan. If you decide to split the chores evenly,…

MAKE BREASTFEEDING COMFORTABLE

One reason moms might quit breastfeeding before they're ready is that they find it hurts. But it doesn't have to! A painful or uncomfortable breastfeeding experience usually means something isn't quite right – whether it's your baby's latch, recurring sore nipples, or just bad day. I remember very well how excited I was when I started producing milk, but a couple of days later, I found it painful, tiresome, and started not enjoying doing it! My back was hurting. If my baby didn't get up in the middle of the night milk was pouring or making my breasts sore, paining, and also experiencing severe coldness! Later, I came to know how to cope with all this and…

MULTITASKING MOM

http://wordpress.com/refer-a-friend/72Yp7V4IR4AEe3GxYp2W Multitasking is an apparent human ability to perform more than one task, or activity, at the same time. Navigating the everyday tasks of motherhood, house chores, and life isn't easy, but we women have this as a natural gift! One of the most and important benefits of multitasking is that it enables you to save time. Imagine you as a mom that you weren't able to multitask, that would very bad as some things would be left out! It is a bitter truth that no matter how many kids you can have or no matter how your partner would be supportive, it's us mothers or wives who have the largest percentage to manage the house, babies,…

THE JOY OF SEEING YOUR BABY GROW.

Just the other day I was heavily pregnant and extremely tired lol. It's so fascinating to see how time really flies, and you as a mother, keep saying how you looking forward to seeing your baby do this and that! Nearly 6 months ago my daughter was born weighing 3.12, and I really thought she was very tiny! To be even worse, she even went down a couple of days later which I believe as a mom you would get worried having heard that many newborns go through a period of rapid growth when they are 7 to 10 days old. Little did I know she would pick up again very quick and grow so well and healthy to be…

FEAR OF BEING A MOTHER

Motherhood is the state or experience of having or raising a child. Though often unspoken, for many women out there are very deep and real fears when it comes to entering motherhood. We women were created on purpose to show strength through grace, comfort, and beauty. Despite how joining and starting motherhood seems to be hard, we should be strong for our children and our entire family. http://wordpress.com/refer-a-friend/72Yp7V4IR4AEe3GxYp2W Motherhood does change you physically, mentally, and emotionally. It teaches you so many things about yourself that you may not have known. To simply put it, it is the silent teacher you love to hate. She teaches you so many things that bring out the very best and worst…

MY MORNING ROUTINE

http://wordpress.com/refer-a-friend/72Yp7V4IR4AEe3GxYp2W Just as you plan for your time when you are going to work, that is the same also when staying at home! Being a stay home mom or housewife is also a full-time job if you are not a lazy woman. On a typical Monday or any other weekday morning, I usually get up at 6 am. Having prepared my husband last night(remember not to focus on kids only and always be there for your partner just like you were before becoming a mother), I go straight to freshening myself and then my daughter and changing her. Changing the baby before feeding helps to make them wake up enough to get to take a full feeding.…

CHICKEN BIRYANI FOR DINNER

Today I decided to give it a little different to my family. Here where am living, too much spicy food is not so common: but, just as I was thinking of dinner and planning things as my little one was having a nap, I thought why not come up with a little change in the kitchen today!...and guess what... there chicken biryani came! Biryani is a mixed rice dish with its origins among the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent. Also, in East Africa, it is one of the most common dish in Swahili community especially in the coast of Kenya. It is made with different spices the major ones being turmeric powder, pepper, masala and garlic powder.…

POSTPARTUM BODY CHANGES

For those who don't know, postpartum is the period just after birth. Most of the time mothers deal with many changes in themselves during this time. http://wordpress.com/refer-a-friend/72Yp7V4IR4AEe3GxYp2W These changes can be physically or emotionally. Physical changes: The very most common is gaining weight. For example, in my case... I used to be very slim before pregnancy....but I started gaining weight during my second semester. Adding weight was in even in my face which really made me feel less beautiful than before(I even stopped doing selfies...hahaha). I couldn't fit in most of my clothes anymore. This hasn't only happened to me .https://www.buymeacoffee.com/MYHOMEWORKI know some of your mothers if given a chance may share the same and say that at…
